PUERTO, RICO – The guys from the 242 fell 9-1 to Puerto Rico Sunday night at the Estadio Justina Salinas in la Chorrera, Panama.

Starting pitcher Deshaugn Forbes gave up five runs on four hits in five innings of action as The Bahamas fell 9-1 to Puerto Rico in game one of the tournament. 

Catcher Caden Walker drove in the only run for The Bahamas when he drove in kashon conliffe in a single in the bottom of the 7th.

Kashon Konliffe and Benjamin Dupuch both got pinch hits as well.

Eldrick Felix had 3 RBI to lead Puerto Rico.

Grand Bahama Games

Chairman of the Grand Bahama Sports Council is Darrell Weir recently announced the grand bahama games.

The games start november 3rd, and will run for the whole month. 

This year’s edition will honor the great Bahamian sportsman, Churchill Tener Knowles, who is excited about the event.

Knowles established the games when they first began in 1992 and served as its chairman for many yeArs. 

He is also the founder of the Grand Bahama Regatta Committee where he serves as its chairman. 

Sports Minister Mario Bowleg is excited for the games to start.
