Senators Debate Resolution On Human Rights Committee

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Senators debating a resolution for the appointment of a parliamentary committee on human rights to assess and evaluate all matters related to the protection and enforcement of human rights in the country.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Senators debating a resolution for the appointment of a parliamentary committee on human rights to assess and evaluate all matters related to the protection and enforcement of human rights in the country.

The committee will report to parliament every six months and make recommendations to guide the legislative process.

Seconding the resolution, was Progressive Liberal Party Senator Quinton Lightbourne.

The committee will comprise of members of both houses of parliament, also supporting the resolution, opposition Senator Darren Henfield.
