GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Hundreds turned out before the polls opened at 8 a.m. this morning to cast their votes. Voters in Grand Bahama speak about what they’re looking for in their next member of parliament for West Grand Bahama and Bimini.

No issues at all – that was the common thread to all the voters who spoke to Our News on by-election day while visiting the Eight Mile Rock High School, Martin Town, Holmes Rock and West End Primary Schools. Between all schools there were 10 polling stations.

And over at Martin Town, the sentiments were the same.

But there was some drama. A heated argument erupted at the Martin Town Primary School between PLP and FNM supporters but that fizzled out quickly due to police presence.

Further west at Holmes Rock and West End primary schools, everyone was happy with the process.
