NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Inspector Jerard Culmer of the Royal Bahamas Police Force shared safety tips for enjoying the sun and water during the holiday season. He emphasized the importance of staying hydrated, using sunscreen, and being alert around water.

“When you’re on land, stay hydrated, use your sunscreen, and be alert when children are near the water.”

He also advised people planning to enjoy jet ski rides to utilize licensed businesses, wear life vests, and avoid dangerous stunts.

“We also wanna get out immediately if you find yourself in a situation where you can’t swim or you’re not comfortable. The police will be there, keeping watch.”
