NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Thousands of residents taking in the sights and sounds of the circus in the Kendal GL Isaacs Gymnasium recently as Rotary Club of East Nassau and Menagerie productions put on a weekend of shows. Our Jean Joseph tells you all about it.

Guests filling the Kendal G. L. Isaacs gymnasium to see juggling, contortion, high-flying trapeze mastery, aerial stunts, and more at the circus.

The event series made possible by a partnership between rotary of East Nassau and Washington-based Menagerie Productions.

Rafique Symonette, Rotary of East Nassau’s Fundraising VP, says the circus was once one of the organization’s local signature events, and the organization is looking at ways to expand its community reach.

Performers putting on dazzling displays of aerial artistry mixed with spurts of comedic relief and at intermission, guests were left clinging to the edges of their seats.
We caught up with the show’s producer, Rotarian Montana Debor, who owns Menagerie Productions.

She said the show is about raising charity funds while helping people have good, clean fun.

Symonette says the money will go a long way in helping the organization reach its community goals.

If you missed the circus, look out for the next Rotary event and support an organization that impacts communities nationwide.
