NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More than two decades ago, the Rolle Sisters came together and decided they would start a Christmas tree competition amongst themselves and not just any kind of competition – one that involves money and bragging rights for a full year.

It also has sentimental value – a tribute to their late mother, Deborah Rolle.

The theme for 2025 is African Christmas.

“What we have landed on will really be out of the box and so I want to say to my fans buckle up you’re in for a treat,” Kimberley Rolle said.

Leah Rolle told our Sasha Lightbourne she is phenomenal at being phenomenal and her tree is going to be phenomenal.

“I’m coming out of the box this year and I’m going with something asymmetrical and more whimsical,” Denise Hinzey said.

Natasha McPhee said she looking forward to securing the win.

“I want to ensure that Kim does not get three peat,” she said. “As one of the sisters who entered late moving from 6th, to 4th and then second only place now is up is first.”

And each sister says this year they’re going to do things a bit differently than years past.

McPhee is also not bothered by the fact that she’s the only sister in Grand Bahama.

“For me its basically how well you execute your theme,” she said.

“Normally on judging day as judges go and visit everyones House what they normally do is they hope in the car and drive around and see everyone else trees and yard that same night however for me they will have to wait another day so for me I love the suspense for them.”

And unlike years past, only four sisters are competing this time around.

“Scared, afraid they’re afraid of phenomenal that is what it is,” Leah Rolle said. “Persons have given some reasons and call it a cop out but they’re afraid guys and you know what, they should be.”

Natasha McPhee agreed; she said her other sisters are scared as well.

“The only thing I could say is dey scared, dey scared, dey scared, da queen is coming okay they know now that I’m ready and I’m hot for this competition this year because its two years back to back that I have loss and I am coming back for my crown,” Denise Hinzey added.

Kimberley Rolle, the two time defending champion, added this to the conversation.

“Everyone knows Kelly is scared,” she said.

“I understand that’s a lot of pressure for her to come back in the competition at such a high level. We love you Kelly, we want you back. Pam is a little bit on the hurt side but maybe she can recover before December; we’d love to have you back as well Pam.”

The trees will be judged on December 15 and the winner will be announced on Christmas Day.
