NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former University of Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jacory Harris was in town with his former teammates, Travis Benjamin and Allen Hurns, to conduct a camp for 50 kids ages 14 to 18 in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahamas Youth Football League.

Johnathan Lord of the Ministry of Tourism said it’s the latest in an ongoing partnership between The Bahamas and “The U”.

Canes Weekend included a Halloween costume party on Friday night and a watch party Saturday afternoon to view UM’s game against SMU.

But, Saturday morning was all about the kids.

NBA

Buddy Hield and the Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson of the Dallas Mavericks hit the court last night.

Hield had a rough night. He made 1 of his 4 shots, scoring 3 points in 15 minutes in his team’s 114-110 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

Steph Curry led the dubs with 24 points and I’m not sure who Quenton Johnson is, but he had 25 points and 10 assists for the Pacers, while Aaron Nesmith had 31.

Klay Thompson had 11 points on 4-9 shooting but his team also lost, falling 122-110 to the Detroit Pistons. D’angelo Russell had 31 points and 6 rebounds off the bench to pace the Mavs and 1st overall pick in this year’s draft, Cooper Flagg had 16.

Pistons big man Jalen Duren had 31 points and 10 rebounds to help them secure the win.
