UNITED KINGDOM – Survivors and affected families of UK’s infected blood scandal are seeking clarity on the payment date promised by British Prime Minister Ishi Sunak.

Just under 3,000 patients died after contracting HIV or hepatitis from a transfusion of tainted blood in the 1970s and 1980s.

Sunak said he was committed to compensating the thousands of people affected but did not say when they could expect to be paid.
