NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With just over two months left in the year, many people are reflecting on their goals, and for some, finding the motivation to finish strong can be a challenge. But one young Bahamian entrepreneur is helping women rediscover their drive and build a supportive community to achieve their dreams.

The “Beyond the Vision” Masterclass, hosted by goal-setting strategist Andrewnique “Drew” Khristin Symonette, brought dozens of women together at CAB Gallery & Studio for a day of inspiration, honesty, and empowerment.

The event featured networking sessions, educational workshops, and a panel discussion with MP Leslia Miller-Brice, Keshelle Davis, and Elude Sturrup, who shared stories of resilience and perseverance.

Finding Purpose Through Faith

Miller-Brice opened up about her own struggles during the pandemic.

“My wilderness season came during COVID. I lost three businesses. It was a struggle for me spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and financially because I was responsible for families,” she shared.

Symonette admitted she almost canceled this year’s event, saying she felt burdened after her last one, but her faith kept her grounded.

“My goal is just to teach women that God has a purpose in you,” she said. “If you’re alive, there’s a reason, you’re here for a purpose.”

Building Sisterhood and Support

For attendees like Vanlyn Bethel, the masterclass was about community and motivation.

“I’m all about growth and finding that push to pursue my goals,” Bethel said.

Repeat attendee and sponsor Kirklynne Evans, of Goldie’s Conch House, said the event helped her find both spiritual and personal direction.

“I’ve found sisterhood and community, it’s given me the clarity to pivot and work on my goals,” she said.

The “Beyond the Vision” Masterclass continues to empower Bahamian women to overcome self-doubt, embrace purpose, and build communities that hold one another accountable, proving that even late in the year, it’s never too late to start again.
