GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Economic advancement for the West Grand Bahama and Bimini constituency is the focus of a Grand Bahama man looking to become the independent candidate from West Grand Bahama and Bimini.

Daquan Swain is no stranger to politics as he ran in the last general election as an independent candidate for the West Grand Bahama and Bimini constituency.

While he did not win the seat he says he’s been active in the community.

Swain says it is his mission to rectify some of the issues in West Grand Bahama.

Now for those who may say he doesn’t have the experience to represent the community, here’s what he had to say to that.

The Grand Bahama native says he’s disappointed to see some aspirant candidates campaigning in the community as he says they have not supported West Grand Bahama and Bimini for years.

He’s asking residents to not be distracted by political tactics.
