Woman Arrested for Suspected Meth Discovery

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A Grand Bahama woman is in custody after police say they found suspected methamphetamine in a home on Cadwallader Jones Drive.

Police on the northern island say a team of officers from the drug enforcement unit executed a search warrant on the home around 10am, Tuesday.

While searching the kitchen, police say they found a Quaker Oats box that contained a quantity of crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Police arrested the woman who was home at the time.

Police say the suspected drugs weighed 1.8 ounces and have an estimated street value of $17,500.
