NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After months of construction, the Fort Charlotte Straw Market will be reopening by mid-November, according to Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Works Bacchus Rolle.

He tells us this market will be bigger than the last.

Back in February, Rolle revealed that the redevelopment of Fort Fincastle Straw Market had started.

Rolle admits a challenge for them has been maintaining not just this facility but others as well.

Rolle says the plan involves upkeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing.

He says none of the markets in New Providence will be left out. The main straw market along with others at Cable Beach and Paradise Island will also be a part of the process.
