Young Bahamian Dominates Paris Fashion Week

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Miss Teen Bahamas Globe Eleisha Alcime wowed at Paris Fashion Week, walking for designer Michael Lombard. She says it was a dream come true and has already received new modeling offers, showcasing that Bahamian talent belongs on the world stage.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – She’s accomplished what many only dream of, Miss Teen Bahamas Globe, Eleisha Alcime, is back home after taking the Paris Fashion Week runway by storm, walking for world-renowned designer and “Leather King,” Michael Lombard.

From the classroom to the catwalk, Eleisha says the experience still feels surreal.

“I still can’t believe I got to walk for the famous Michael Lombard, who’s worked with Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, and Beyoncé. The atmosphere was incredible, a dream come true,” she said.

Representing The Bahamas on the global stage, Eleisha says she’s proud to have showcased her talent, and the nation’s, before an international audience.

“I was able to represent my whole country and got great feedback from Michael Lombard himself. I’m just overjoyed about the entire experience,” she added.

And Paris clearly took notice, Eleisha says she’s already receiving job offers and collaborations since returning home.

Her national director, O’Brio Denoye, says the opportunity came as a complete surprise but has become a defining moment for Bahamian pageantry and fashion.

“She’s from a small island, a key in Abaco, and yet she stood among over a hundred international models. To see her shine and to represent The Bahamas with excellence was incredible,” Denoye said.He adds this is only the beginning, proving that Bahamian talent can command any runway in the world.
