240+ Killed After London-Bound Plane Crashed In Ahmedabad

INDIA – Air India confirmed that a plane bound for London, carrying 242 people, crashed just minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad on Thursday.

The crash, which occurred in a residential area, left only one survivor. The 229 passengers, including 11 children and two infants, along with 12 crew members, were killed.

The plane crashed onto a medical college hostel outside the airport during the busy lunch hour. At least 50 injured medical students were taken to the hospital.

Live footage from the scene showed a portion of the aircraft perched atop the building.
