NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Regional leaders met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week, where several regional issues were discussed, topping the list were healthcare, regional security, China relations, and the ongoing instability in Haiti. Prime Minister Philip Davis was among the leaders at the high-level talks, while there was not much tangible takeaway, officials are calling it a success.

Leaders also discussed security concerns and agreed that there is a need for enhanced regional cooperation to combat drugs and firearms trafficking. The Bahamas is investing in technology, training, and strengthening laws, requiring cooperation with the U.S.
