Natl. Security Partners with Church to Fight Crime

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Christian Council has teamed up with the Ministry of National Security to compile a list of crime-fighting resources as well as a new counseling hotline for Bahamians in need.

The Ministry of National Security is tightening its alliance with the Christian Council in hopes of better fighting and preventing crime.

National Security Minister, Wayne Munroe, says these resources available from the Christian Council aren’t new, but wants to remind residents of their existence if they find themselves in need.

The national security minister also urged the public to be mindful of its role in de-escalating tension in situations that could potentially turn violent.

Christian Council President Delton Fernander announced a new hotline for counseling from one of their 40 qualified Christian counselors.
