NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 61-year-old man accused of stabbing his brother has been remanded to a mental hospital for a fitness to plead assessment.


Anthony Harding is accused of stabbing his 58-year-old brother, David Harding, in the abdomen on January 2 during a dispute at Salt Pond, Long Island.


Magistrate Shaka Serville remanded Harding, who has a history of admissions to the Sandilands Rehabilitation Center, to the facility until March 22.


Depending on the results of the report, Harding will enter pleas to charges of causing grievous harm and assault with a dangerous instrument.
