GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – When it comes to extracurricular activities, attending dance class seems like an obvious choice for many, but did you know that there are actually life-long benefits from the popular hobby?

For twenty years, Georgia’s School of Dance and theatre has been positively impacting the lives of those who entered its doors.

Owner, Artistic Director and Instructor, Georgia Storr-Taylor says she believes the purpose of the school is more than just to teach dance. It’s a ministry.

She says unfortunately there is a stigma in The Bahamas that discourages young men from participating in dance class. But that’s an idea she feels should be reconsidered.

While many of her students tend to excel both academically and in dance class, she says their success propels them much further than her dance studio.
