NASSAU, BAHAMAS – We’re all excited for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals coming over the next few days, and being an island nation, we’re very reliant on online shopping- but there is a dark side to all of the Black Friday deals.

In 2017, Stavely head estimated a diesel truck would leave an Amazon fulfillment center every 93 seconds at peak times, and according to one report, in the U.K. alone, Black Friday of 2021 was expected to produce the same amount of greenhouse gas emissions as the weight of over 3,500 blue whales.

So while we can’t be expected to not shop this season, what can we do to make our Black Friday a bit greener?
