GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Kingsley Smith Jr. was surrounded by his new parliamentary colleagues and hundreds of supporters, as the unofficial numbers projected him as the new member of parliament for West Grand Bahama and Bimini.
Smith described the moment as a humbling one as he thanked his supporters for their vote of confidence.
Both the prime minister and deputy prime minister expressed their overwhelming support for Smith as he now seeks to carry on the work of late parliamentarian, Obie Wilchcombe.
