NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man sentenced to seven years in prison for possession of firearms with intent to supply has lost his bid to overturn his conviction and sentence.

Arizona Rolle was convicted of firearm possession with intent to supply, possession of ammunition and possession of drugs with intent to supply following a trial before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

Police arrested Rolle on December 2, 2022 following a high-speed chase. During a subsequent search of his car, the officers found a box that contained five firearms, 11 rounds of ammunition and 2.4 pounds of marijuana.

Rolle was sentenced to seven years for the guns. He was ordered to serve a three year sentence for the ammunition that will be served at the same time, and fined $7,500 for the drugs.

Rolle’s lawyer David Cash unsuccessfully argued that the seven-year sentence was too severe and that the convictions weren’t supported by the evidence.
