ARKANSAS, U.S.A – Coach Yolett McPhee McCuin and her Ole Miss Lady Rebels pick up a win taking their record to 9-3.

The 62-47 win came over Arkansas Pine Bluff, the alma mater of Coach Yo.

Leading the Lady Rebels was Madison Scott and Marquesha Davis both of whom finished with 13 points.

In the NBA, both Buddy Hield and Deandre Ayton say action Thursday night.

In the earlier game, Hield and his Indiana Pacers lost to the Memphis Grizzles 116 to 103. Buddy had 16 points, six boards and four assists.

Deandre Ayton had a double double scoring 23 points and pulling down 16 boards but that was also in a losing effort to the Washington Wizards 118 to 117.

Bahamas Sports

Sports Director Kelsie Johnson says 2023 was a good year for sports in The Bahamas so the focus is now to build upon and improve for 2024.

She also spoke about upgrades to sports facilities in the Family Islands.

And upgrades are happening throughout New Providence as well.
