NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Cancer Society of The Bahamas breathing new life into old gowns, as the organization prepares for its biggest fundraising event of the year – the annual ball.

Jasmin Brown explains.

The options are many at the Cancer Society’s ballroom showroom where lightly used dresses are on sale.

Administrative assistant Omega Miller says the sale does more than give people a gown to wear at the ball, slated for May 28th at the Atlantis Grand Ballroom.

Miller says dresses have been flying off the racks, since the start of the month.

With prom season just around the corner, Miller says the ball gown sale will extend into next month so that students can also get their hands on low-cost dresses.
