NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Downtown oil spill caused cars to collide Monday night.

The Ministry of Works and Utilities says the spill slicked the road in the area of Cumberland and Duke Streets and portions of Shirley and Market Streets.

An emergency team was dispatched and applied a layer of sand to the affected areas to absorb the oil and mitigate any further damage or safety concerns.

Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution.
