Edgecombe Selected to McDonald’s All American Game

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – ESPN top-five recruit, Bimini-born V.J. Edgecombe has been selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American game.

The game, which will be held on April 2nd, 2024 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas is one of the most prestigious in the US high school hoops scene and looks to showcase the top boys and girls high school players in the US and Canada.

Edgecombe, a recent commit to Baylor University in Waco Texas, will be the first Bahamian to play in the game since Deandre Ayton in 2017. Edgecombe spent his senior year at Long Island Lutheran in New York, playing a national schedule against powerhouse teams all around the nation including Oak Hill in Virginia, Montverde in Florida, and LaLumere in Indiana. Edgecombe leads his team in points scoring almost 18 per game while also averaging 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
