NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – The governing body of the Free National Movement has shown its in-house opponents that it bears larger “cahoonas” than theirs.
The Council of the FNM has proverbially slapped down one of the alleged thorns in the side of the party’s leadership, rendering the individual “disabled”, voiceless and unable to cause the disrespectful ruckus and intimidation that he is accused of causing.
In fact, two of the accused trouble makers have been taken down in one week. One, as mentioned, has been slapped down in the party and the other suffered his fate in the courtroom. Things must be very quiet in that party, as the other loud mouth trouble makers see their comrades being taken down one by one.
The party called an emergency meeting on Monday night to deal with one of the alleged trouble makers. My intel tells me that a former FNM Deputy Prime Minister revealed his allegiance that night, by attending the meeting and defending this person who is always in the public domain, ignorantly calling out someone or speaking ill of the party’s leadership. Trés disappointing!
Some go as far as calling him a mouth-for-hire, but I have no ocular proof of this. And who, pray tell, would be the pay master.
This man is now in a state of indefinite suspension from the Council, pending a decision of the party’s judicial tribunal. That might be long in coming. Sips tea!
What is powering this man, the one behind bars and the other’s though? Is it money? Is it the promise of power? What could the prize be for opening one’s mouth and uttering loud, intimidating, slanderous rubbish while embarrassing oneself?
Now I am not one to call names, however while conducting “post discipline interviews” and moving quite oddly, the young man who found himself at the hotter end of the torch, announced his unwavering support for former PM, Dr. Hubert Minnis to return to govern this country. Just throwing it out there!
My unsolicited advice to the leadership of the FNM is to weed out all troublemakers and most importantly expose and seek to expel the person who is “powering” them – the puppeteer or marionette master of those deemed less intelligent and ready to be loyally crude at the drop of a dime … literally.
Kudos to the FNM hierarchy for finally showing who has the bigger cahoonas. Well, that’s how I see it anyway.
