NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The hit “The Best” by Tina Turner has become synonymous with one man who will go down in Bahamian history as being “simply the best.”

Today, former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham celebrates his 76th birthday.

Abaco Native and Evergreen CEO Denalee Penn-Mackey presented the former North Abaco MP with a painting by celebrity artist Jamaal Rolle.

Ingraham was elected eight consecutive times in North Abaco and says he gave his best to the Bahamian people.

Penn-Mackey also presented Ingraham with a few sweet treats for his birthday. He says it’s something she does on yearly basis.

Meanwhile, Penn-Mackey says the gift is not just a show of appreciation from herself but on behalf of all Abaconians.

Ambassador to UNESCO and celebrity artist Jamaal Rolle says it is an honor to be able to produce a replica of the Abaco native and recalls his first time making a sketch of him.
