GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Over the weekend, Ministry of Agriculture officials hosted the first-ever Agrarian Awards and while there were several nominees, only one could take home the Male Farmer Of The Year Award – Terrance Roberts.

The 32-year-old Grand Bahamian started his business just four years ago, Berkshire Bahamas Farms has grown by leaps and bounds.

What started off as a farm raising only Berkshire pigs, now houses chickens, ducks and even sheep.

Despite walking away with the $10,000, Roberts says what’s most important is collaborating for the future of farming in the country.
