GRENADA – The Grenada government announced Wednesday the 2025 national budget will be delayed until January or February next year, citing the disruptions caused by Hurricane Beryl, which hit on July 1st.

Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell explained that recovery efforts from the hurricane, which caused widespread damage, have required significant resources, including suspending parts of the fiscal management and resilience act.

The delay will allow for broader consultations with citizens and stakeholders, ensuring the final budget addresses Grenada’s most urgent needs and long-term goals.
