Hamas Seeks ‘Complete Halt’ To War In Gaza

GAZA – Hamas has submitted its response to a US-backed ceasefire plan for Gaza, demanding an Israeli commitment to a permanent ceasefire.

Along with its ally, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Hamas has expressed readiness to reach a deal.

The plan, endorsed by the UN Security Council, proposes a six-week ceasefire leading to a permanent one. Mediators Qatar and Egypt confirmed Hamas’s reply.

The White House has called Hamas’s response as “helpful,” while us officials evaluate their requests.
