Industrial Agreement Includes Pay Increases

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After 11 months of discussions, 40 employees at The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute will benefit from an industrial agreement signed between the government and the Union of Tertiary Educators of The Bahamas.

BTVI Interim President, Dr. Linda Davis notes that the benefits includes salary increases.

Minster of Education Technical and Vocational Training Glenys Hanna-Martin was on hand for the signing.

She says she’s pleased they’ve come to this resolution.

UTEB President Daniel Thompson says this is only the beginning.
