NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The country’s latest homicide happening in broad daylight. Officers were called to the scene on Boyd Road, where they found a man with stab wounds. The killing prompted a local pastor to speak out at the scene this morning.

It was shortly after 10AM on Wednesday when police were alerted to the murder.

Police Press Liaison Officer Chief Supt. Chrislyn Skippings says officers found a man sitting at the top of a stairwell of a building with stab wounds to his upper body.

Skippings says the victim appears to be in his 50’s and does not live in the area. She appeals to residents in the community to reach out to their local police station with any information on the incident.

We spoke to Jamal Franklyn, the senior pastor of a local Seventh Day Adventist Church in the area, who says the church is there to assist with conflict resolution.
