NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Doctors Hospital has once again stepped up to assist the Public Hospitals Authority with patient care.

While the Princess Margaret Hospital’s aging infrastructure is receiving a much-needed facelift, some of their patients have been transferred to Doctors Hospital West.

The facility was once used to assist with the critical care of COVID-19 patients at the height of the pandemic.

President and CEO of Doctors Hospital Dr Charles Diggiss says there are currently 21 patients receiving care at the facility, and the patients are being treated by Doctors Hospital employees.

As for who’s paying for the services, Dr Diggiss says the government is underwriting the cost, at what he says is a fairly significant discount.
