PM Asks OAS for More Climate Action Support

WASHINGTON, DC – If the Organization of American States wants to remain relevant to small island states such as The Bahamas, Prime Minister Philip Davis suggests the body needs to do more to support climate action across the Americas.

WASHINGTON, DC – If the Organization of American States wants to remain relevant to small island states such as The Bahamas, Prime Minister Philip Davis suggests the body needs to do more to support climate action across the Americas.

Prime Minister Davis made the declaration during the protocolary meeting of the OAS Permanent Council, Wednesday, adding the relevance of the organization is being tested.

During his remarks, PM Davis highlighted some of the challenges faced by countries in the region, including climate change, citizen insecurity, and a strain on certain institutions.
