NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The violent spree began on July 16th with the killing of 51-year-old Neil Miller off Hanna Road as he left his residence.

This was followed by the double shooting of Adrian Edgecombe and Jamie Tynes, son of former House Clerk Maurice Tynes, on July 18th at Kemps Court near Pineyard Road.

Following investigations, Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander confirmed the killings were linked.

The carnage continued on July 19th with homicides 67 and 68. Twenty-four-year-old Chavez Miller and 33-year-old Taimak Saunders, were killed just hours apart in targeted attacks.

Homicide 69 occurred on Saturday when South Beach police responded to gunshots behind their station.

Grand Bahama also saw violence with another man becoming the 70th murder victim.

The deadly streak ended Sunday night with a woman stabbed to death on Carmichael Road. One person is in custody, believed to be a domestic incident.

The top cop was asked if the police have enough resources to combat crime.
