Police Officer Charged With Selling Stolen Car
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police officer found himself on the wrong side of the law after prosecutors say he tried to sell a stolen car.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police officer found himself on the wrong side of the law after prosecutors say he tried to sell a stolen car.
Constable Randy Hanna faced charges of fraud by false pretenses and stealing at his arraignment before Magistrate Raquel Whymms.
Prosecutors allege the 28-year-old stole a Toyota Passo, valued at four thousand five hundred dollars from Wellington Gray in April 2024.
Hanna allegedly fraudulently obtained four thousand five hundred dollars from Kiron Seymour when he tried to sell the stolen car to him in June.
Hanna denied the allegations at his arraignment.
His bail was set at three thousand five dollars and he’s required to report to the Quakoo Street Police Station on the first of each month until his trial is done.
Hanna’s trial is set for October 29.
