Police Officer Faces 10 Counts of Incest

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A junior ranking police officer is behind bars after being charged with molesting his daughter. 

The 33-year-old corporal, who’s been suspended from duty, faced 10 counts of incest when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on Thursday.

He hasn’t been named to protect the identity of his daughter.

Prosecutors allege that the officer began molesting his 10-year-old daughter in November 2020.

The abuse allegedly continued until February 24, 2023. His daughter is now 12 years old.

The man wasn’t required to enter a plea to the charges.

He returns to court on June 12.
