Police Officer Ordered to Wear Ankle Bracelet

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police officer who allegedly had $450 in fake currency at his home  has been ordered to wear an ankle bracelet as a condition of his $7,000 bail.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police officer who allegedly had $450 in fake currency at his home  has been ordered to wear an ankle bracelet as a condition of his $7,000 bail. 

Constable Accaime Luximond appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on Monday charged with possession of forged currency.

Prosecutors allege that on April 5 Luximond was found with four Bahamian $100 notes and a Bahamian $50 note that were counterfeit.

Luximond pleaded not guilty and he returns to court on July 26 for trial.He’s been interdicted from his duties pending the outcome of the case.
