NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Privy Council has rejected the last chance appeal of a convicted killer.

Deangelo Pratt was denied leave to appeal against his murder conviction and 37-year sentence..

In 2013, a Supreme Court jury unanimously convicted Pratt of hacking Charles Robinson to death.

The incident happened at Robinson’s Market Street home on June 21, 2008.

According to the prosecution’s case Pratt, who had recently lost his job, went to Robinson to borrow money.

Robinson, who was in a relationship with Pratt’s mother, refused to give him in the money in an insulting way.

That’s when Pratt chopped up Robinson.

Pratt then went to his mother’s home in Carmichael, where Robinson’s family met him washing his bloody clothing.

The family had gone there to inform her of Robinson’s murder.
