NASSAU, BAHAMAS – There are two words on any homecoming fan’s lips the first weekend of every August: Rolleville Regatta.

But this year, fans of the festival were nervous as all eyes were on an area of disturbed weather that had a 50 percent chance of developing into a tropical depression over the island chain during the homecoming weekend.

It’s something President of the Rolleville Regatta Committee, Dwight Hart, says they were watching closely.

But organizers tell us that weather uncertainty did not stop Rollevilleians from coming home.

Festival-goers enjoyed days of sailing, activities shoreside, and lots of entertainment.

But Hart says making this annual favorite happen is not as easy as it may seem.
