NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The country is seeing a summer surge of COVID-19 infections. The latest numbers revealed that cases have nearly tripled since April. It’s prompting the Ministry Of Health to tell residents to practice good hygiene to prevent getting sick.

The cases were detailed in a June 28th advisory. It revealed that 12 PCR-positive cases were reported in April, 42 new cases in May, and 46 new cases in June.

In response to the escalating situation, the public is being urged to resume precautionary measures such as mask-wearing and social distancing.
