NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When a group of friends working at a local bank got together and threw a new year’s party nearly 20 years ago, they had no idea they would still be hosting the event today.

Bringing in the new year is a special occasion for many, signifying an end to the festive winter holidays and a fresh slate to fill with memories.

In many cities, spectacular firework displays take place as soon as the clock passes midnight on December 31.

The Corporation has provided one of the more popular new year’s experiences here in New Providence since 2004.

Patrick Gardiner and Omar Wilkinson, Corporation partners, say they want to help you start your new year off with an experience.

The team was forced to cancel plans to restart the series last year, but they are looking forward to this year’s edition.

And the team says they are expanding their offering, bringing international DJs to the mix, including one of the hometown favorites.

Wilkinson says the cost of admission is money well spent.
