NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Family Island Affairs Minister Clay Sweeting will add a new ministry to his portfolio.

Sweeting will take over the reins from Alfred Sears as the new substantive Minister of Works, following Prime Minister Philip Davis’ announcement of a cabinet shuffle on Sunday.

Sweeting telling reporters Thursday that his initial plans have been becoming familiar with projects on tap for his new ministry.

But what was he able to accomplish in two years?

As for what he’s looking forward to, achieving in his new role as Works Minister.

Sweeting passing the baton to the new minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources Jomo Campbell.

Campbell moving up the ministerial ranks after previously serving as State Minister for Legal Affairs. It’s a move he says he’s open to.

As for what he’s leaving behind, Campbell says he’s pleased that a foundation has been set for restructuring the ministry.

Now the new appointments will take effect on Monday.
