NASSAU, BAHAMAS – 2024 promises some major developments in local sports as the nation gears up for major international events from basketball to track and field and, of course, playing host to next year’s CARIFTA Swimming.

Director of Sports Kelsie Johnson-Sills is excited about 2024. The Bahamas is set to host CARIFTA Swimming and the World Relays.

Our Men’s National Basketball Team will have a chance to qualify for the Olympics for the first time in our country’s history, and there’s so much more.

Hosting the World Relays will be big for The Bahamas, as they will happen in a newly renovated stadium with a certified track.

And other sports are on the radar as well.
