NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Wendi is no novice on the Bahamian music scene; now a solo artist and former lead singer with the band Visage. She is an entertainer and entrepreneur, while also holding the very important roles of wife and mother to her husband, Dyson Knight and daughter Zenndarah.

Wendi tells our Jean Joseph about the joys of motherhood, her new music and balancing it all.

Wendi has become a staple artist on the national stage and her signature phrase “What You Know About It?” hits radio rotations countrywide.

She says she started early. Taking to the big stage at her preschool graduation with her rendition of, “The Greatest Love of All”.

Today she has a slew of hits to her name and the accolades to match.

Still, the greatest of them all is being a wife and mother, something she’s very proud of and wouldn’t trade for the world despite the difficulties of balancing her family and professional life.

Despite her hectic schedule – recording music, running a business, and raising a family, she says she gets it all done – making sure to keep those aspects of her life separate.

While Wendi’s new single, “Tell Her Come”, is a bold attack on the culture of infidelity woven into Bahamian society, she says her three-year marriage couldn’t be happier, and she is telling the modern versions of the age-old story.

The new release features a heavy Rake ‘N’ Scrape influence fused with popular elements like 808s and synths with a sound that could easily be from Drake or Rihanna.

It’s out on all streaming platforms now for you to take a listen, and you can follow Wendi on social media for more of this and her other future projects.
