Trio Arraigned for Attempted Robbery of Super Wash

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Three men are behind bars after facing charges in connection with a robbery attempt at Super Wash last week. 

Prosecutors say Keyon Williams, Marlin Smith, and Jamaal Taylor, while acting together, tried the rob Super Wash on Carmichael Road West in March 3,

They are also accused of possession of a Taurus GTC 9mm pistol along with five rounds of ammunition.

According to police, two men entered the coin laundromat around 1pm. One of the men allegedly pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded cash.

However, the worker fled and locked herself inside an office, foiling the robbery bid.

The men left empty handed and police officers arrested the suspects and recovered a firearm following a brief chase.

The suspects  were not required to enter pleas to charges of attempted armed robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition when they appeared before Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.

Bail was denied and they return to court on May 2.
