Trio Arraigned in Connection with Andros Armed Robbery

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Three men were arraigned for planning to commit an armed robbery. 

Prosecutors said Andros residents Tito Newton, Eddrico Colebrook, and Solomon Fowler conspired to commit the hold-up on January 28.

And Newton and Colebrook allegedly carried out the robbery on the same day.

Prosecutors say they robbed Joshua Zimmerman of $8,600 and a cheque for $1,492.

Police allegedly found them with $3,866, believed to be part of the stolen cash when they arrested him.

According to police, Zimmerman was at his home in San Andros when a man dressed in a white fisherman’s outside came to to his in San Andros asking for a job. The man pulled a gun on Zimmerman and robbed him during the interaction.

The accused were not required to enter pleas to charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and receiving when they appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney on Friday.

Bail was denied and they return to court on April 11.
