Trump announced plans to hike tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum from 25% to 50%, starting midnight Wednesday.
Trump says it’s payback for Ontario slapping a 25% tariff on electricity sent to Northern U.S. States.
Ontario’s Premier fired back saying “we will not back down” and urging Trump to “Stop The Chaos.”
The President also hinted at declaring a national emergency on electricity.
