NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is dead leaving behind his young child and pregnant wife reeling from the blow. His lifeless body was found at a home in the Marshall Road area hours after a party there saw two off-duty police officers get shot.

A family is in mourning after waking up to the news that their relative – 29-year-old Garath Pyfrom – was shot and killed.

Pyfrom attended a party Sunday night where two off-duty police officers were shot and taken to hospital.

Hours later he was found dead at the same location.

His sister Monalisa Johnson said her brother had invited her to the same event.

Chief Superintendent Michael Johnson says the body was found around 8 a.m. by a resident heading to work.

Police believe the body was there for about four hours and that he was shot around the same time as the officers the night before.

Meanwhile, his sister says the married father of one is expecting as his wife is pregnant with his second child.

We spoke to one resident and pastor who said he came by after seeing the commotion.

He says the incident is out of the ordinary for the area.
