NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Thirty six new marine cadets are now one step closer in achieving  their maritime dreams after successfully graduating  from the LJM Maritime Academy.

The event, held at the Andre Rodgers Baseball Stadium.

22-year-old Terojernae Duncombe and 19-year-old Malik Forbes, just two of the young men and women taking a significant step toward achieving their maritime ambitions . 
 
This milestone marking a pivotal moment in their journey, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and credentials needed to excel in the industry. 
 
Delivering the keynote address, Bahamian Ricardo Charlton, who has excelled internationally as he now serves as Director of Operations at one of the largest ports in Florida.  

16 graduates now hold diplomas in Nautical Science and Engineering or Navigation while the remaining graduates will be heading off to begin their internship on the seas  
 
This new accomplishment now opening doors for internships, job placements and collaborative projects. It’s an accomplishment that president of the academy,  Dr. Brendamae Cleare is proud of.
